TypAir is a wearable Bluetooth keyboard that captures finger movements via sensors and translates them into text using a learnable gesture alphabet. It attaches magnetically to clothing, pockets or straps, enabling hands‑free input on smartwatches, VR headsets, computers and other Bluetooth devices. Users can customize gestures for shortcuts, commands or AI interaction, allowing discreet typing without voice or a physical keyboard. The project already has a functional prototype, tested alphabet and basic SDK, with further work needed on design refinement, gesture reliability and manufacturing preparation.
