We’re raising funds to enhance production of the pilot episodes and bring this neo-western world to the vertical screen with authentic locations, horses, professional cast and crew, and cinematic production values
Die Standin' Up is a cinematic vertical drama set in Kentucky that explores family, land, loyalty, and power through the lives of Ellie Burke, a fiercely independent horsewoman; Tommy, a young cowboy at a crossroads; and Brad, a troubled Marine whose arrival stirs secrets. The series is designed for mobile viewing, blending the intimacy of vertical storytelling with the sweeping visuals of a contemporary Western, using real horse farms, working ranches, and authentic locations to avoid a cheap look. With a $5,000 gap‑financing goal, contributions will increase cast and crew compensation, upgrade camera, lighting and grip equipment, fund professional horse handling and wranglers, improve production sound, and cover location logistics and post‑production. The filmmakers aim to prove that ambitious, high‑quality storytelling can emerge from independent productions outside Hollywood, inviting backers to become part of the story of how the series was made.
