Litra: Sealable Disposable Travel Litter Box
The world’s first compact, disposable, fold-to-seal travel litter tray with pre-packed plant-based litter.
About This Project
Litra is a compact, disposable travel litter box that ships flat and includes a pre‑packed 2 lb bag of bamboo/sugarcane litter inside a paper‑based tray. Its fold‑to‑seal mechanism provides a full 360° closure, locking in odor and allowing the tray to be reused or disposed of hygienically. Designed for up to five days of use, it fits easily in a carry‑on, under a car seat, or in a closet, eliminating the need for bulky litter jugs or plastic boxes. The project aims to fund the first full production run, with backers receiving the trays at the lowest possible price and early supporter recognition on litra.pet.

The main risks are production delays due to tooling adjustments, quality issues, factory holidays, or material shortages; overseas manufacturing and ocean freight can add time from port congestion, customs, or tariff changes; international shipping may face customs delays or carrier handoffs; and real‑world performance varies with each cat’s habits and number of cats.
