About This Project

FernSnap is an AI-powered plant growth filmmaker that puts the camera, grow light, AI-assisted presets, capture workflow, and MP4 export into one plant-friendly device. It uses AI to identify plants and recommend optimized capture settings, reduces flicker, corrects exposure, and stabilizes subtle shifts for smoother time-lapse results. The device features a triple-spectrum grow light with high-CRI LEDs (≥90), clip-on adjustable mount, local TF card storage with optional cloud sync, and exports ready-to-post MP4 videos for social media — no editing software needed. Backers also receive the FernSnap Plant Companion eBook as a free digital bonus.

Hardware and software are still in prototype stage. Planned features like AI Plant ID use third-party APIs and are not yet completed. Moving from prototype to mass production involves risks in manufacturing, app stability, storage workflow, and supply chain. Fulfillment is estimated 3–4 months after campaign ends, with potential delays possible.
