About This Project

Engineered, assembled and tested in Canada, the EcoPlug EP-1 optimizes the electrical efficiency of your existing loads by regulating power consumption and curbing unnecessary energy drain at the source while maintaining reliable operability. The device offers nine configurable modes of operation—including low/high cutoff thermostat, timer, ambient light sensing and combinations—plus an always‑on fail‑safe and manual override. Users can set and forget parameters via the EcoPlug app (iOS/Android), which features a virtual mechanical timer dial, peak‑hour load cycling, real‑time load current sensing for costing feedback, status LED and a 24‑hour remotely monitorable history graph. CSA SPE‑1000 inspected for electrical safety and approved for use in Canada, the EcoPlug targets applications such as block heaters, propane tank blankets, lighting automation and greenhouse climate control.
